Wildflower Meadow and Bees
07/2023
It is blooming colourfully on the grounds at our company site in Emsdetten. On an area of almost 300 m²we have planted a wildflower meadow, which offers a home mainly for insects but also for birds and other small animals.
There is relaxed humming and buzzing on the meadow since at the beginning of May a bee colony has moved in, which is busily collecting nectar for our own SLF honey. Beekeeper Lars Schulte looks after the bee colony and a few days ago on a small walking tour he told our staff a lot of interesting facts about bees and how to care for them.
With this project we intend to contribute to species protection and raise awareness for a more conscious treatment of the environment.
