Efficient Surface Treatment of heavy Steel Components

Steel Construction

In traditional steel manufacturing, high flexibility in production processes is essential.

To meet these demands, we recommend a proven plant concept that we have successfully implemented multiple times. This system combines a shot blasting room with an open-area paint shop and a movable, telescopic dryer.

These solutions enable flexible processing of a wide variety of workpieces and structural elements. Innovative features, such as sectional control of the ventilation and extraction systems in the open-area paint shop, can reduce energy consumption by up to 70%.

Surface Center for tonne-heavy Components

SLF Plant Technology for Steel Construction Experts in Brazil

Our customer in Brazil is one of South America's leading steel construction companies. We equipped their facility with a shot blasting room, three open-area paint booths and a flexible, movable telescopic dryer.

The shot blasting room features full-surface abrasive recovery and an air recirculation system, with dimensions of 20 x 6 x 4 meters (l x w x h). Adjacent to this are three open-area paint booths, each measuring 18 x 6 meters. The shot-blasted components can be coated on any of these three surfaces, while the movable telescopic dryer on another area accelerates the drying process. All paint booths are equipped with heat recovery systems for energy efficiency.

Workpiece transport is carried out either via a ground-based rail system or using the hall crane.

Surface Treatment Center

Counterweights up to 10 tons

Our customer manufactures individual parts and complex steel assemblies, including high-quality surface finishing.

Primarily, we designed a state-of-the-art surface treatment center for processing counterweights weighing up to 10 tons for mobile cranes. The facility includes an automatic shot blasting room with a robotic blasting system and rotary station, multiple paint booths, drying chambers and conveyor systems.

Turnkey Surface Treatment Center

Complete Technique "From a single Source"

For a major South American steel fabricator specializing in both structural and civil engineering, we built a comprehensive surface treatment center in Chile.

Our focus was maximum flexibility: the facility includes an open-area paint shop with telescopic dryer, a shot blasting room equipped for galvanizing and a paint booth with a chamber dryer and manual hanging system for small parts.
