Powder Coating Line for Steel Components

An SLF powder coating line with two coating booths, a chamber pre-treatment system, an adhesive water dryer and a powder curing oven recently went into operation at Frankenberger Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH (FMA) in Frankenberg.
A sophisticated conveyor system with electrically driven transfer bridges completes the coating line and ensures maximum flexibility in the production process. During planning, energy-efficient and resource-saving realisation was taken into account. Among other things, the sophisticated system is equipped with frequency-controlled, highly efficient pumps and a circulation system for the process water.
At FMA, mainly steel components with dimensions of up to 5.0 x 0.8 x 2.0 m and a weight of up to 1.5 tonnes are coated. Managing Director Andreas Schramm is highly satisfied: "98% of our components are powder-coated - from now on we have the complete manufacturing process in our own hands and create a unique selling point for ourselves with powder coating in-house."
