Efficent Cleaning with Water treatment plant

03/2023
A major project at Zemann Bauelemente Produktionsgesellschaft mbH in Austria is about to be completed. We have already delivered and installed an open-space paint spraying system with three painting areas of 14 x 5 m each, including a mobile telescopic dryer, as well as a high-pressure cleaning cabin of 10 x 5 m for pre-treatment. The last component to be integrated will be the supplementary process water treatment plant.

Ms. Stephanie Bertels (project manager and designing engineer), Ralf Kloster (project manager) and Mr. Alfons Griessler (sales engineer) are responsible for the development and coordination of this project at SLF in close cooperation with the customer. For cleaning the steel components, the company Zeman would have to deal with a high quantity of process water. Water treatment offers enormous potential for cost savings and resource efficiency here. Every customer has different cleaning requirements, which is why the SLF water treatment plants are designed in a modular way and can thus be individually adapted to the respective customers' needs.

In the current project, a 3-chamber system is used, i.e. the water passes through sludge sedimentation, oil separation and final chemical purification. It is constantly heated up to 70 °C in the circuit to prevent the formation of bacteria.
