Trains, Trams & more

Rolling Stock

Rail vehicle manufacturing and maintenance are the most important industries for us. For many years, we have been developing cutting-edge solutions for globally leading rail vehicle manufacturers and the maintenance of all types of rail vehicles. The dimensions and length of our booths know no limits — on a regular basis, we build systems where entire trains can be effectively and precisely pretreated, coated, and dried in one continuous process.

For companies like Siemens AG or Deutsche Bahn AG, we supply everything from individual blast rooms or paint spraying systems to complete surface treatment centers, including lifting platforms and conveyor technology, as well as other peripheral equipment like paint storage rooms and application technology. Our systems are designed to process all typical workpieces in rail vehicle manufacturing — ranging from smaller components like wheelsets and bogies to entire car bodies.

We have successfully equipped numerous customer locations worldwide with our systems. In recent years, we have also delivered several systems to the Chinese State Railways.

Coating track for the ICE fleet

Large Project: Deutsche Bahn AG Cottbus

Our systems are already in use at several locations for the maintenance of the Deutsche Bahn AG fleet.

For ICE maintenance, the existing Deutsche Bahn facility in Cottbus is being expanded with two new halls: Hall 2, which includes two maintenance tracks, has been operational since January 2024. Hall 1, scheduled to complete the facility by 2026, will include not only maintenance and commissioning tracks but also a dedicated coating track for individual carriages.

We have been awarded the contract to equip the coating track with our systems, which will be unique in terms of scale and high automation levels.

XXL Surface Treatment Center

Train Maintenance

On approximately 8,000 m², we have established a surface treatment center for rail vehicles, featuring 17 booths and a blasting hall.

A fully automated conveyor system connects the 18 systems and moves the carriages in the specified order to the work areas. There are five pre-treatment booths, three filler booths, two robotic spray booths, two manual spray booths, five drying booths, and one blasting hall for surface treatment.

Blasting room with ReCo-Blaster®

Train Production

For 80 years, our customer has been manufacturing rail vehicles for the international market in Switzerland.

We designed and built a blasting room measuring 33 x 8 x 9 meters (l x w x h) for processing car bodies. The blasting process is fully automated using the ReCo-Blaster® robotic blasting system. This automated blasting of large series components ensures maximum efficiency and reliably reproducible results.

Blasting room with ReCo-Blaster®

Train Production

Since early 2022, the first ReCo-Blaster® has also been in operation in Spain. At our customer’s facility — a manufacturer of rail vehicles — aluminum wagon bodies are automatically blasted both externally and internally.

The robotic blasting system is programmed offline using CAD data and can also be controlled via a handheld panel. All blasting parameters are digitally monitored and regulated for maximum process reliability.
