Onshore and Offshore

Wind Turbine Construction

Blast rooms and paint booths for the surface treatment of wind turbine components are among the largest and most complex systems of their kind. Whether for onshore or offshore wind turbines – our facilities are used worldwide to clean, blast, metallize, paint and dry high-quality components such as foundations, tower segments, blades, stators and other structural parts.

Our customers include well-known manufacturers across all production stages in the wind energy sector.

Given the enormous size of many workpieces, flexibility is essential. We have developed, for example:

  • a mobile combined spray and drying booth that can dock at three different processing stations for the coating of stators, and
  • a telescopic spray and drying booth that can be retracted to a few meters in length for optimal space efficiency.
Project Spotlight

XXL Coating System in Denmark

For one of the world’s leading wind turbine manufacturers, we designed and built an XXL paint and drying booth at a facility in Denmark. The system is more than 150 meters long and offers a clear width and height of 12 meters – specially designed for processing large offshore rotor blades.

To ensure safe and ergonomic access to all areas of the components, we integrated two vertical telescopic working platforms – a proprietary SLF development tailored specifically to this project.

Complete Surface Center with ReCo-Blaster®

Wind Turbine Construction

Our customer develops and manufactures both prototype and series components for wind turbines.

We implemented one of our largest projects here with a comprehensive surface treatment center. Cast and steel components weighing up to 30 tons are processed in systems for pretreatment, blasting, reworking, zinc spraying, as well as in washing and paint spraying booths. Lifting platforms and customer-supplied conveyor technique complete the concept.

Combined System for Blasting and Painting

Wind Turbine Construction

For a manufacturer of heavy-duty steel components such as monopiles, we designed and built a combined blasting and painting system. The booth measures 82 meters in length, 21 meters in height, and 18 meters in width – tailored for offshore tower segments.

Key features include the innovative long-throw nozzle technology, zoned supply and exhaust air management as well as efficient abrasive recovery and recycling systems.

Surface Center for Blasting and Paint Spraying

Wind Tower Components

Our customer in the Czech Republic specializes in manufacturing steel components for wind turbines. For their production facility, we delivered a complete surface center including two free blasting rooms and three telescopic combined spray and drying booths.

Each booth is 38 meters long with a height and width of 7 meters. They are equipped with recirculating air systems and zoned ventilation for optimal energy use and air quality.
