A new SLF powder coating line featuring two coating booths, a chamber pre-treatment system, a flash-off dryer and a powder curing oven has recently been commissioned at Frankenberger Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH (FMA) in Frankenberg.
A well-designed conveyor system with electrically driven transfer bridges completes the coating line and ensures maximum flexibility in the production process. The system was planned with a focus on energy efficiency and resource conservation. Key features include frequency-controlled, high-efficiency pumps and a closed-loop process water system.
At FMA, the primary focus is on coating steel components with dimensions up to 5.0 x 0.8 x 2.0 meters and weights of up to 1.5 tons. Managing Director Andreas Schramm is highly satisfied:
“98% of our components are powder coated – from now on, we manage the entire manufacturing process in-house. Our own powder coating line gives us a real competitive edge.”
