Two-stage paint separation system with impact separators

Separated paint

Approx. 99 % of the overspray arising during the painting works on open-space paint spraying areas and in combined paint spraying and drying rooms

are separated in our two-stage paint separation system. At first the paint particles are pre-separated by impact separators at ground level with a carrying capacity of up to 10t wheel load (1st step) and afterwards supplied to the paint separation cassettes (2nd step).

The interlocked U-shaped profiles of the impact separator system are covered with overspray collectors which absorb the overspray. They can be cleaned easily. Thus the maintenance costs are reduced considerably compared to conventional painting systems (and the gratings do not have to be cleaned time-consumingly).

The impact separators of the non-used areas can be cleaned during the running operation. A removal of the workpieces from the paint area is not necessary thus leading to a considerable reduction of the nonproductive times.

Easily exchangeable paint separation cassettes being installed inside the exhaust air duct in front of the exhaust air aggregate serve for the second filter step. Due to the separation of the coarse particles in the first separation step the lifetime of the filter media increases several times compared to the conventional technique being usually equipped with filter mats underneath the gratings.

Advantages:Heavy-load impact separators with overspray collectors

  • Maintenance and cleaning of the impact separators possible during running operation
  • During the cleaning the workpieces do not need to be removed from the room/open-space paint spraying area
  • Shortest cleaning times by overspray-collectors and paint separation cassettes
  • Long maintenance intervals due to a high absorbing capacity of the impact separators
  • High paint throughput possible due to a separation degree of approx. 99%
  • Low disposal costs
  • Saving of maintenance costs up to 90 % compared to conventional cabins
